ITAP

International Trainee Apprenticeship Program

The Atlantic City Ballet's International Trainee and Apprentice Program (ITAP) is the perfect program for dancers who seek a professional career in dance. The ITAP Students have the opportunity to dance with the Atlantic City Ballet and compete in National and International Ballet Competitions.

This tuition based program provides the experience necessary to ease the transition from student to professional dancer, all while offering personal attention in a small, nurturing environment.

Limited to only 20 students, ITAP is the training ground for future AC Ballet company members. For those students also interested in continuing their academic education, ITAP offers one on one academic mentoring and the ability to take classes either online or at Richard Stockton College which is minutes away.

Trainees will also have the opportunity to perform in AC Ballet's many outreach programs and will be part of Atlantic City Ballet's Corps de ballet. Scholarships are available for qualified students.


ITAP Auditions

Students are accepted into ACB ITAP by audition only.  Interested dancers may audition a variety of ways:

  1. Private Auditions are held at the ACBT Performing Arts Academy.  Please call to schedule an audition, OR
  2. Company Auditions are held in New York, Rome, and London, OR
  3. If unable to audition in person, mail audition package.

Audition Package

The audition package includes the following:

  1. Resume, Head Shot, and One Dance Shot
  2. One video, no longer than 10 minutes, containing four combinations:
  • First combination:  Short adagio with a develop a la seconde, and arabesque.
  • Second combination: Pirouettes and on open turn
  • Third combination: Small beats and jumps
  • Fourth combination: Big Jumps

    Any extra time on the video is the dancers choice.

  3.  Provide a check $30 for the audition fee made payable to Atlantic City Ballet.
