Exceptional Training for Every Dancer

Discover the Joy of Dance

The ACBT Performing Arts Academy, the official school of the Atlantic City Ballet, offers exceptional dance training for students of all ages, interests, and experience levels. Led by world-class ballerina and School Director Phyllis Papa, our professional faculty provides training in classical ballet, contemporary dance, and other styles.

Our classes are designed to build strong technique, confidence, strength, and artistry while inspiring a lifelong love of dance. Whether dancing for fun or pursuing a professional career, students of all levels—from beginner to advanced—are encouraged to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.

Pre-Ballet

A fun introduction to ballet that builds coordination, musicality, rhythm, spatial awareness, and confidence through age-appropriate movement. Students learn basic ballet concepts while developing listening skills, following directions, and a love of dance.

Adult Ballet

Adult ballet welcomes both returning dancers and beginners looking to experience the many physical and mental benefits of dance. Classes improve flexibility, strength, coordination, posture, stamina, concentration, and confidence while providing a creative, mindful way to move and recharge.

Classic Ballet

Build a strong foundation in classical ballet through focused training in technique, alignment, posture, and musicality. With classes designed for different experience levels, dancers can develop strength, balance, coordination, and confidence while experiencing the artistry and discipline of ballet.

Private Lessons

Personalized instruction helps students focus on individual goals, technical development, audition preparation, or additional support. Schedule a private lesson with Phyllis Papa for one-on-one guidance tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Pointe

Develop strength, technique, and proper placement while learning the fundamentals of pointe work, building the confidence and control needed for safe, strong, and graceful movement en pointe. Pointe 1 and Pointe 2 provide structured instruction for students who have developed the required strength and technical foundation.

ITAP

ITAP is designed for dedicated dancers seeking to pursue a professional career in dance. Participants have the opportunity to train alongside and perform with the Atlantic City Ballet, gaining valuable experience in a professional company environment.

“My daughter danced in The Nutcracker, Dracula and A Midsummer's Night Dream for several years at ACBT. Ms. Papa and the company could not have been more welcoming to my daughter each year she danced there and the ballet instruction she received was superb. Also, if you have not had a chance to catch their performances, you are missing out. Dracula is one of my personal favorites!”
